How the NSDP Learning Portal handles personal information.
Last updated: 13 October 2026

1. About this portal

The NSDP Learning Portal is the online learning platform of the National Skills Development Program (NSDP), Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training • Government of Pakistan. It is used by enrolled students, teachers, campuses and programme administrators.

2. Information used by the portal

To provide learning services the portal processes account details (such as name, email address, phone number and role), enrolment records, course progress, class attendance, assessment results, certificates and technical information needed to keep accounts secure.

3. How information is used

Information is used to operate the portal: signing you in, delivering courses and live classes, tracking progress and attendance, issuing certificates, sending service notifications and providing support. It is not sold to anyone.

4. Access and security

Access to personal information is limited to authorised programme staff, teachers, campuses and administrators who need it for their role. Reasonable technical measures are used to protect accounts and data.

5. Your rights and how to use them

You have the right to: (a) access the personal information we hold about you; (b) receive a copy of it; (c) have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected; (d) have your account and personal information deleted; (e) object to, or ask us to restrict, a particular use of your information; and (f) withdraw a consent you gave, such as disconnecting a connected Zoom account.

Much of your information can be seen and corrected directly in your portal profile. To use any of these rights, email support.department@nsdp.pk from the email address on your account (or include enough detail for us to confirm it is you), or request deletion through the account deletion page at /account-deletion.

We will confirm your identity and respond within 30 days. Some records, such as issued certificates, payment records and attendance needed for certificate verification, may have to be kept for legal or audit reasons; if so, we will tell you what is kept and why. You may also raise a concern with the relevant data protection authority.

6. Zoom integration (live classes)

Live classes run on Zoom. A teacher may connect their own Zoom account to the portal through Zoom's sign-in (OAuth). With that permission the portal reads the teacher's Zoom name, email and user id; creates, updates and deletes the Zoom meetings of the teacher's scheduled classes; lets the teacher start the class inside the portal; reads participant join and leave times to mark attendance; and reads the class's cloud recording.

We store: the Zoom access and refresh tokens of the connected teacher (encrypted with AES-256 and never shown to anyone), the meeting id, join link and passcode of each class, students' join and leave times for attendance, and links to class recordings. Once a recording is copied to NSDP's own video storage, the portal moves it to the teacher's Zoom trash so their Zoom storage does not fill up; the copy is kept so enrolled students can watch the class.

Students do not need a Zoom account; they join inside the portal with their portal name. Zoom data is used only to run the class it belongs to and is not shared or sold.

A teacher can disconnect Zoom at any time from the portal, which deletes the stored Zoom tokens at once. Removing the NSDP Portal app from the Zoom App Marketplace has the same effect: Zoom notifies the portal and the tokens are deleted. Meetings already scheduled stay on the teacher's Zoom account until they remove them. To ask for any other Zoom-related data to be deleted, use the contact in section 5.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. The official NSDP privacy policy, when published, will replace the general sections above.
