An on-site course is a course you teach at one of your campuses, in a room or lab, over a fixed number of weeks. It is a separate area from Live Zoom classes: there are no batches, no Curriculum tab and no Zoom or meeting links. You set the campus, venue, start date, seats, class days and duration; the portal turns the duration into weeks and gives you one text box per week for your weekly plan. Students register for the course itself.
Before you start
- You need a campus link: the Campus list offers only the active campuses you are assigned to. If it is empty, ask NSDP or the campus to link you (see How a teacher is linked to a campus).
- Have the cover image ready: upload it or pick one from the media library. A web address is not accepted.
- A short intro video (1 to 3 minutes) is optional but recommended. You can add it now or later.
- Decide the duration in weeks or months. You can change it later; the weekly plan grows or shrinks with it.
Creating the course
Step 1: Open Teaching → On-site courses and choose New on-site course
The create page has the same fields as the Setup tab plus the duration. The preview card on the right updates as you type, for example "On-site course · Lahore Campus, Lahore · Lab 2 · 8 weeks from 12 Oct".
Sign in to open this screenStep 2: Fill in the course
Title, subtitle and descriptions, category and language, cover and intro video, campus, venue, start date, seats, duration, class days and class times. You do not enter a price: the fee is worked out from the duration.
Step 3: Choose Create draft on-site course
The course is saved as a draft and its Setup tab opens.
Step 4: Write the weekly plan
On the Weekly plan tab, fill one box per week.
Step 5: Submit for review
Choose Submit for review at the top and write what the reviewer should know (required, at least 10 characters). NSDP reviews it like a live Zoom class; once approved and published, NSDP or your campus launches registration.
Setup fields
Fields on this form
- Course titleRequiredUp to 200 characters
- The public name.
- Subtitle / Short description / Description
- Description is required; the others are optional summaries.
- Category / Language
- For the catalogue and search.
- Cover image
- Upload a file or choose one from the library. Image links are not accepted. Uploads go through the upload window (drag and drop, progress, retry).
- Intro video for this class
- Optional, marked Recommended. Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link (or any
httpslink), or upload an MP4, WebM or MOV file. It plays under the field, and students see it on the course page only when one is set. It sits with the cover, under Cover image & intro video. - CampusRequired
- One of the campuses you are linked to. Choosing one pre-fills the seat limit with the campus's usual batch size.
- Venue (room / lab)Up to 160 characters
- Optional, for example Computer Lab 2. Shown to students on the course.
- Start dateRequired
- The first week of the course starts here. The end date is worked out from the duration.
- SeatsRequired1 or more
- The most students the course takes. Registration must have a seat limit before NSDP can launch it.
- DurationRequired
- A number and a unit: weeks or months. A month counts as 4 weeks, so 2 months gives 8 weeks and 1 month gives 4.
- Class daysRequired
- The weekdays the course is taught. Every class day of every week gets a class.
- Classes start / Classes endRequired
- The time each class starts and ends.
- Fee per month / Months / Total fee
- Read-only. Set by NSDP; see The fee is set by NSDP below.
The fee is set by NSDP
You do not set a price for an on-site course, and neither does the campus. NSDP sets one fee for every on-site course: Rs 3,500 per month at present. The months come from the Duration you entered, and the total is worked out for you.
- A duration in months is charged as that many months: 2 months = Rs 3,500 × 2 = Rs 7,000.
- A duration in weeks is turned into months of 4 weeks, and part of a month counts as a month: 8 weeks = 2 months, 6 weeks = 2 months.
- The pricing card is still shown, on the create page (Ticket price) and on Setup (Pricing), with Fee per month, Months and Total fee. All three are read-only.
- To change the total, change the duration. On a published course that goes through review like any other change.
The weekly plan
The Weekly plan tab shows one text box per week of the course: 8 weeks give Week 1 to Week 8. Write what each week covers: topics, practical work, assessments. A box may stay empty, and each one takes up to 4,000 characters. Students see the plan on the course page.
- Changing the duration on Setup adds boxes at the end or removes the last ones. Removing weeks that already have text asks you to confirm first.
- What you type is kept in your browser as a draft until you save, so a closed tab doesn't lose your work.
- On a published course, saving is not submitting. The portal answers "Saved, not submitted yet" and students keep the approved version. When all your changes are done, choose Submit changes for review at the top, write what you changed (required, at least 10 characters) and send it to NSDP. Review requests in the menu shows the result and NSDP's note.
- You do not build a class-by-class timetable. The classes are scheduled for you from the start date, duration, class days and class times on Setup.
Registrations and certificates
- Registrations lists the students who hold a seat, the seats taken against the limit and the registration state (Not launched, Registration open or Registration closed). NSDP or your campus launches and closes registration; it also closes by itself when the seats fill or the closing date passes.
- Once registration is launched the course appears in your campus's portal, where the campus follows registrations, marks attendance and sees its earnings from paid seats.
- Certificates shows a preview of the certificate students receive. Its design and wording are set by NSDP, one design for all on-campus courses; you can only preview it. The certificate rules (on or off, the minimum attendance, when certificates are issued) are shown read-only: they are set by NSDP too. Below them, You do not issue certificates yourself: NSDP and the campus issue them once the course is completed and attendance is marked. See How live batch certificates are earned.
- Paid seats earn your teacher share in the usual way; the campus's share comes out of the school's part of the sale, never out of yours.

FAQ
I entered 3 months. Why do I see 12 weeks?
A month counts as 4 weeks, so the plan has 12 boxes. Enter the duration in weeks if you need a different number.
Where are the batches and classes?
On-site courses don't have them. One course is one group of students at one campus, over its duration. To run the course again, create another on-site course with a new start date.
Can one course be both online and at a campus?
No. Online classes are live Zoom classes (Teaching → Live Zoom classes); campus teaching is an on-site course. Create one of each if you need both.
Can my campus change the course?
The campus can adjust the venue and seats and launch or close registration; the content and the plan are yours to edit. The fee is set by NSDP.
Why can't I change the price?
The fee is set by NSDP for every on-site course: a fee per month, times the months the course runs. Only the duration changes the total.
Can I change the certificate?
No. NSDP sets the design, the wording and the rules. The Certificates tab shows you a preview.
Can I open registration myself?
No. NSDP or the campus launches and closes registration. Registration also closes by itself when every seat is taken or the closing date passes.
