A live Zoom class (the create page still calls it a live session) is a programme you teach live on Zoom. It holds one or more batches: each batch is one run of the class with its own dates, seats and weekly curriculum. You create it on one page, finish it in its workspace, and send it to NSDP for review. A course taught at a campus is an on-site course (see Running an on-site course). Running the classes is covered in Teaching live batches and marking attendance.
The Live Zoom classes list
- The Your Zoom account card sits at the top. Connect Zoom there once; see Teaching live batches and marking attendance.
- Figures: Live Zoom classes, Published, In NSDP review and Changes requested.
- Search by title, category or language. Ten classes per page.
- Each row shows the class, its Fee, its batches (total and active), and its publication and review status.
- Row actions: Edit, and Submit for review (or Resubmit after changes were requested), which opens the class so you can write what you changed. The three-dot menu has Edit class, Preview as a student, Batches & timetable and, for a draft that was never published, Delete draft.

- From my uploads picks an image you uploaded before.
- Add later skips the cover (the default). You can add it on the Information tab.
- Intro video for this class is optional and marked Recommended. Paste a YouTube or Vimeo link (or any

Create page, panel 3: Pricing (the fee is set by NSDP)
You do not set a price. NSDP sets one fee for every live Zoom class: Rs 2,000 per month at present. You enter only how many months the class runs, and the total is worked out. The Paid ticket, Free and Decide later cards are still shown, but they are locked.
Fields on this form
- Fee per month
- Set by NSDP. You can read it, not change it.
- MonthsRequiredA whole number, 1 to 12Default: 1
- How long the class runs.
- Total fee
- The fee per month × the months, for example Rs 2,000 × 3 months = Rs 6,000. Worked out for you.

- Class reminder email (off by default) and how many minutes before the class it is sent (default 30).
- Show in the catalogue (on by default) and Featured (off).
- The checklist on the right shows what is still missing. Choose Create draft live session. It is saved as a draft with one batch, Week 1 and your first class, and its workspace opens.
Finishing it in the workspace: the tabs
| Tab | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Setup | The launch checklist (each step opens the tab where it is done), the class title, web address and ID, its batches, the cover, and the status and fee at a glance. |
| Information | Two parts. Basic details: title, subtitle, short and long description, category and subcategory (both required: a class saved before they were required shows Choose a subcategory and its details cannot be saved until one is chosen), language, web address (slug), the Cover image, the Intro video (right under the cover) and Outcomes & requirements. Class settings: tags, gallery images, the class reminder email, Show in the catalogue and Featured. |
| Pricing | The fee per month (set by NSDP), the Months (you can change them, 1 to 12) and the total fee, paid in one payment at checkout. |
| Curriculum & batches | Every batch with its name, start date, seat capacity and admissions, and its curriculum: weeks, Zoom classes, assignments, quizzes and resources. Each batch also has its own Registrations view. |
| Certificates | A preview of the certificate (the design and wording are set by NSDP) and the certificate rules, which you can read but not change. |
| Students | Every batch's students, seats, next class and attendance. Switch batches with the chips at the top. |
| Assignment marking | The assignments and quizzes of the class with how many students handed them in. Open one to give marks and feedback, or return it. |
| Questions | The class's discussion: answer students' questions and post notes for a batch. The same questions are under Students → Course discussions. |
| Preview | Opens the page students see before they register. |
- There are no separate Batches and Classes tabs for instructors: old links to them open Curriculum & batches, and old Registrations links open Students. There is no Release tab: the dated Zoom classes are the schedule.
- The description, requirements and learning outcomes on Information belong to the class. They are the same for every batch.
- Preview as student at the top opens the page students see before they register.
Batches and the curriculum
- Batches are listed along the top of Curriculum & batches. Choose one to see its Batch settings and its weeks.
- Batch settings: Batch name, Start date and Seat capacity (empty means no limit). The end date, the class days and the duration are worked out from the batch's classes.
- Admissions: an Open / Closed switch for each batch. The batch made on the create page starts Closed: switch it to Open when students may register.
- Weeks are numbered by the portal (Week 1, Week 2 and so on). You write only the topic, and students see, for example, "Week 1: Getting your first client". Add Week N adds the next week.
- Inside a week, Add offers Zoom class (topic, Date, Starts, Ends), Assignment, Quiz and Resource.
- A class is always on Zoom. There is no meeting link, other platform or recording to type in.
- Save curriculum saves the batches, weeks and Zoom classes together. Assignments, quizzes and resources are saved straight away, on their own.
- Remove batch is offered while the class has more than one batch. A batch that already has students cannot be removed.
Each part of this tab is explained in Teaching live batches and marking attendance; assignments, quizzes and resources in Class work: assignments, quizzes and materials for live and on-campus classes.
Starting another batch from an existing curriculum
Once one batch has its weeks and Zoom classes, you don't build them again for the next intake. New batch on Curriculum & batches copies them under a new start date.
Step 1: Choose New batch
The New batch window opens.
Step 2: Give the Batch name, the Start date and the Seat capacity
For example "November 2026 – Evening". Empty seat capacity means no limit.
Step 3: Set Admissions
Open: students can register once NSDP approves the batch. Closed: the batch stays hidden and takes no students until you open admissions.
Step 4: Choose the Curriculum of the new batch
One of six ways, listed below. With more than one batch to copy, pick it under Copy from.
Step 5: Choose Create batch
The batch is added to the page. Check it, then choose Save curriculum.
| Choice | What the new batch gets |
|---|---|
| Same days and times | The same weekly days and times. Only the dates change. |
| Change the times | One time is replaced everywhere, for example 10:00 becomes 16:00. |
| Change the days | One day is replaced everywhere, for example Monday becomes Tuesday. |
| Change days and times | Each weekly class gets a new day and time. |
| Custom schedule | Every class is listed with its date and time for you to edit. Choose the start date first. |
| Empty curriculum | Nothing is copied. The batch starts from a blank Week 1. |
- Weeks, topics and Zoom classes are copied. Assignments, quizzes and resources belong to the class, so every batch already has them.
- A green line shows the result before you create it: how many weeks and Zoom classes, the first class and the date the batch ends.
- Like any other change to a published class, the new batch goes through review before students see it.
Sending it for review: saving is not submitting
Step 1: Save as you go
Each tab has its own save bar (Save curriculum on the curriculum). On a published class the portal answers "Saved, not submitted yet": your changes are kept privately and students keep the approved version.
Step 2: Finish all your changes first
Everything you have saved is sent together. Unsaved edits on an open tab are not sent.
Step 3: Choose the submit button at the top of the workspace
Submit for review for a draft, Submit changes for review for a published class, Resubmit for review after NSDP asked for changes.
Step 4: Write what you changed
The window asks What did you change? The note is required and needs at least 10 characters. The reviewer reads it first and it is kept in the review history. Then choose Send to NSDP, or Not yet to go back.
Step 5: Wait for NSDP
A draft goes live as soon as it is approved. For a published class, students keep the approved version until your changes are approved.
Step 6: If changes are requested
The reviewer's note is shown at the top of the workspace. Update the class and resubmit.

- Not submittedNever sent to NSDP.
- In NSDP reviewWaiting for NSDP. You can keep editing; anything new is saved separately and must be submitted again.
- ApprovedNSDP approved the version students see.
- Changes requestedNSDP sent it back with a note. Nothing new goes live until you resubmit and it is approved.
- Review requests in the menu (Teaching) lists everything you sent to NSDP: the result, NSDP's note, what you said you changed, and saved changes you have not submitted yet.
- NSDP keeps a copy of each approved version and can bring an earlier one back if something goes wrong.
- Three things do not wait for review: assignments, quizzes and resources (saved straight away), opening or closing admissions of a batch NSDP has already approved, and attendance.
What NSDP does, not you
- Setting the fee, and the certificate design, wording and rules.
- Approving the class and every later change, and unpublishing or archiving it.
- Approving a batch as completed, which delivers its certificates.
- Removing a student's registration.
- Deleting a published class.

FAQ
Why can't I change the price?
The fee is set by NSDP for every live Zoom class: a fee per month, times the months the class runs. You can change only the Months (1 to 12), on the create page or on the Pricing tab.
I saved my changes. Why do students still see the old version?
Saving keeps your changes privately. Choose Submit changes for review at the top of the workspace, write what you changed, and wait for NSDP's approval.
Where do I see the reviewer's comments?
At the top of the class's workspace, and under Review requests in the menu, with the history of what you sent.
Can I withdraw a class from review?
There is no withdraw button on a live Zoom class. Keep editing and submit again when ready; new changes are saved separately until you submit them.
How do on-site courses differ?
They are a separate area (Teaching → On-site courses) with a campus and venue instead of Zoom, and a duration and weekly plan instead of batches and a curriculum. NSDP opens and closes their registration. See Running an on-site course.
Can students register before the class is approved?
No. Students can register only once NSDP has approved the class and the batch's admissions are open.
Is the intro video required?
No. It is optional but recommended. On a published class, adding or changing it goes through review like any other change.
